Restricted License (A1 & A2)
The A1 or A2 Licence are age related.
A1 Licence
The 17 & 18-year-old rider is entitled to train for & test for an A1 Licence, an A1 Licence allows the riding of bikes up to 125cc & max 11 Kw (15 HP) discard the L plate take passengers & ride motorways, currently at reaching 19 years old the rider can re-test for an A2 Licence or continue riding the 125.
Riders wishing to pursue Category A1 Licence must be in possession of a CBT Certificate which is normally achieved as part of our Training Course & Theory Hazard Perception Pass Certificate to be eligible for the DVSA riding Module 1 & 2 riding tests.
For A1 training & tests A2B use Yamaha YBR 125’s for geared test & operate a Honda SH125 for Automatic test.
A2B offer pre booked riding tests, both MOD 1 & MOD 2 so once on board with us a client could complete within a few weeks or even less.

A2 Licence
At 19 years & over the rider is now entitled to pursue the A2 test route allowing for bikes up to 35KW (47HP), there is no capacity limit & restricted power bikes are eligible. However, any restricted bike must not be derived from a machine that produced more than 70Kw as standard factory specification.
Riders wishing to pursue Category A2 Licence must be in possession of a CBT Certificate which is normally achieved as part of our Training Course & Theory Hazard Perception Pass Certificate to be eligible for the DVSA riding Module 1 & 2 riding tests.
If you have held an A1 licence for 2 years or more there is no need for an up to date Theory & CBT.
For A2 training and tests A2B have new Kawasaki Z400 bikes and restricted Suzuki SFV 650 Galdius available.
A2B offer pre booked riding tests, both MOD 1 & MOD 2 so once on board with us a client could complete within a few weeks or even less.
